Something quite different for me

28 10 2008

Yes, I am primarily a family and child photographer but who doesn’t like to change things up every once and a while? Well a friend asked me to do some classy boudior shots of her for her hubby’s birthday. I have to say it was quite fun! Different lighting, different processing, fun angles and a chance to get in touch with my artistic side. Now this is a public family website, so no nudity here. But I thought I would share the beautiful Miss H!

My kind of family

25 10 2008

Oh I so loved the W family. They are everything I hope my family is one day. Fun, honest, loving, free-spirited……We had so much fun! C and A (aka mom and dad) still got it going on after 23 years. You can tell they still adore each other and I LOVE that. The kids (although miss S isn’t much of a kid anymore) were so helpful and up for anything. They all helped me carry my equipment and were always coming up with their own ideas. Such nice people. Did I mention that I loved them? Thanks for the laughs and I hope you enjoy these! Again another reason to LOVE MY JOB!

The Kids wanted to do a fun one and this is what I got. I love the fact that mom and dad are completely oblivious to what is going on around them! LOL

Miss A-2009 Senior-North High School

13 10 2008

I loved this girl! She was just the all American, sweet, beautiful, laid back, girl next door. Thank God she was laid back since I locked my keys in the car at the beginning of her session. LOL We still aren’t sure how it happened cause we were both on the outside of the car when it locked. It was bizarre. Anyway, it all worked out great cause it forced us to scour the immediate area for cool spots. And we found some jewels! Thanks for being such a trooper A! And I can thank Miss A’s mom for getting me into Photography. She was my high school photography teacher. That was back in the days of darkrooms and film. I still get a flutter of excitement when I smell developer!

Jeesh she is growing up

9 10 2008

Little K is not so little anymore. She is growing up so fast. I swear it was just yesterday that I brought her home from the hospital. I captured this image a week ago and I am totally in love with it. The umbrella behind her was short lived as it tore shortly after this little shoot. I suppose it was worth the $6.00 I paid for it just for this pic. She is my little shining star and brings sunshine to my days. I may just make this my blog header. It just makes me happy.  = )

Just a note.

3 10 2008

October is completely booked. If you are needing a Christmas session please call to get in for November. All Christmas Card orders must be in by December 1st and all sessions for the holidays (if you want prints by Christmas) must be completed by November 25th.

What a family!

2 10 2008

I enjoyed this family so much! Such a caring and genuine group.

Can you believe this smile? Miss S loves swing music and dances like no one is watching! She’s my kind of girl.

Little E was super cute and talked just like a grownup. She had lots to say.
